From a Family Dream to Michigan’s Trusted Cleaning & Restoration Experts
Humble Beginnings (2004 – 2006)
MC Shine Cleaning & Restoration began in 2004, when Michelle Rostoni placed a simple ad in the local paper offering house cleaning services in the Port Huron area. Within a week, she had her first client — and soon after, word spread about her detailed, dependable, and high-quality cleaning. Michelle’s focus on customer satisfaction quickly established MC Shine as one of the most trusted residential cleaning companies in Michigan.
By 2006, her husband Craig Rostoni joined the business full-time, bringing both vision and determination to expand. He built a small pole barn to house the company’s first portable carpet, tile, and grout cleaning system. From this modest start, MC Shine’s reputation and customer base began to grow rapidly throughout St. Clair and Macomb counties.
Building a Reputation for Quality (2007 – 2011)
Between 2007 and 2011, MC Shine hired its first employees and invested in a truck-mounted carpet cleaning van, elevating service efficiency and results. Even as Craig continued to work full-time as a Meijer manager, he spent evenings and weekends serving customers who needed deep carpet cleaning, tile restoration, and janitorial services.
As business demand grew, MC Shine expanded to offer commercial cleaning and office janitorial services, operating a second shift for local businesses. Around this time, Ryan Rostoni joined the team full-time, managing nighttime cleaning operations and helping build the company’s strong reputation for professionalism, reliability, and superior results.
In 2011, Craig made the leap — leaving his management position to go all-in on MC Shine. That same year, the company relocated from the family property to a warehouse facility in Port Huron, marking a major milestone in its journey toward becoming a regional leader in cleaning and restoration services.
Expanding Into Restoration & Specialized Services (2012 – 2022)
The next decade brought tremendous growth. MC Shine broadened its service offerings to include emergency restoration, fire and smoke remediation, water damage restoration, and mold removal — services that provided critical help to homeowners and businesses during unexpected disasters.
Our reputation as a trusted, local restoration company in Michigan grew because we approached every project with the same care and respect as we did in our earliest days. Clients knew that when disaster struck, they could count on MC Shine for fast response times, certified technicians, and compassionate service from start to finish.
During these years, we also expanded our commercial division, offering comprehensive janitorial services, window cleaning, and floor maintenance programs for businesses across Michigan.
Growth, Expansion & Community Commitment (2023 – Present)
In 2023, MC Shine moved into a new, state-of-the-art office and operations center on Pine Grove Avenue in Fort Gratiot, Michigan. This move allowed us to serve more customers across Port Huron, St. Clair County, Lapeer County, and Macomb County with enhanced equipment, a larger staff, and improved logistics.
By 2024, our growth continued with the opening of a second brick-and-mortar location in Flint, Michigan, expanding our reach into Genesee and Lapeer counties. With this expansion came a dedicated restoration and janitorial team serving the Greater Flint area, providing everything from carpet and floor cleaning to fire, water, and mold remediation services.
We are proud to open this second location and being able to service new communities. Looking ahead, MC Shine plans to extend its coverage even further — reaching into Western and Southern Michigan, and eventually into Ohio and Indiana.
We are grateful for the continued support we receive on a daily basis from our loyal customers to be able to allow us to expand and provide excellence service across multiple counties.
